TI-30XS Calculator Reference Sheet: Keys & Functions

A quick lookup for what each part of the TI-30XS Multiview actually does, grouped by function rather than by key position.

Arithmetic & fractions

• + − × ÷ — standard operators, same order of operations (PEMDAS) as written math.
• F↔D — converts the current result between decimal and its simplest matching fraction.
• Un/d — toggles a fraction result between an improper fraction and a mixed number.
• % — applies a percentage directly in an expression, e.g. 150 × 20%.

Trig & inverse trig

• sin / cos / tan — standard trig functions, evaluated in whatever angle mode (degree or radian) is currently set.
• 2nd + sin / cos / tan — the inverse functions (sin⁻¹, cos⁻¹, tan⁻¹).
• DRG — cycles the angle mode between degrees, radians, and gradians.

Logs, powers & roots

• log — base-10 logarithm.
• ln — natural logarithm.
• x² — squares the entry.
• √ — square root.
• 2nd + x² — general nth root (enter the root, then the value).
• ^ — raises to any power.

Probability & combinatorics

• nPr — permutations of n items taken r at a time.
• nCr — combinations of n items taken r at a time.
• x! — factorial.

Memory

• M+ — adds the displayed value to memory.
• M- — subtracts the displayed value from memory.
• MR — recalls the stored memory value into the current entry.
• MC — clears memory back to zero.
• An M indicator above the display means memory currently holds a nonzero value.

Notation & display

• 2nd + ENG — cycles between normal, scientific, and engineering notation for results.
• FIX — sets a fixed number of decimal places for displayed results.
